Bio: Chad's research focuses on the interface of biocatalysis, bioinformatics, and some machine learning. He is working on understanding the sequence-function relationship of enzymes using ancestral sequence reconstruction, and exploring approaches that expedite the mining and engineering of enzymes with machine learning tools. Outside of the lab, Chad likes to listen to classical music and go snowboarding.
